IN THE BEGINNING...

The light bulb moment for Tree Fort Defense blinked into existence late March 2012, but didn't really switch on until July with preliminary art and design concepts.

Game Designers, Sean and Tony, wanted to expand upon castle defense games by pulling from other genres so more player action would be required. The game grew into a slingshot-based game, with the ability to upgrade ammo, while defending the fort.

SEEDS OF THE STORY...

TFD's story bloomed when Sean watched his 4-year-old son get lost in his imagination after dragging out a stuffed animal in one hand and foam sword in the other. One moment his son was holding two of his favorite toys, and the next he was fighting a battle of epic proportions - complete with a war cry that would make a highlander run for the hills.

ABOUT TREE FORT DEFENSE

Game Designer, Artist, Animator.

Sean's work is the skin and soul of TFD. As lead, he has created the art, animation, and story of the game. Without him we'd be stuck looking at a ton of code and scratching our heads.

THE TEAM

SEAN MACBEAN

Game Designer, Programmer, Animator.

A natural computer genius, Tony's programming work for TFD brings the game to life. Without Tony, we'd be stuck looking at a slide show of vector art.

TONY DINCAU

Sound Designer, Field Recordist, Foley Artist, Composer.

Mike's work is the voice of TFD and it sets us apart from many mobile apps out there. Without him we'd be stuck playing the game on mute without an addicting theme song to hum (and trust me, it's addicting!)

ERIN MACBEAN

Social Media Manager, Web Designer, Editor

Erin's work, apart from nagging the game designers to focus, wraps up the TFD package and gets the word out to people like you (grammatically correct even!) Without her, there would be this awesome game and comic, but no one would know about it.
